What IT consulting actually gets you #

IT consulting is an assessment of where your technology is today and a plan for where it needs to be. A useful engagement produces decisions — not a deck. Ours covers infrastructure and application review, a cloud adoption or modernisation roadmap, a security and compliance gap analysis, a cost review, and a prioritised delivery plan with owners and dates against each item.

The reason to start here rather than with a build is economics. A two-week assessment that tells you a rewrite is unnecessary is worth considerably more than a six-month rewrite that nobody questioned.

Where we do the work #

IT strategy and roadmap #

We assess the current landscape and produce a roadmap you can actually finance: what to fix now, what to defer, what to stop paying for, and what to leave alone. Sequenced against your business calendar rather than a vendor's.

Cloud, Infrastructure as Code and modernisation #

Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure, in your repository, reviewed like application code. The value is not that the infrastructure is scripted; it is that infrastructure changes become diffs a second engineer can read before they reach production, and a rebuilt environment is identical to the one it replaced.

Most legacy systems do not need a rewrite. Containerising the existing application, moving the database to a managed service, and putting a proper delivery pipeline around it usually removes the majority of the operational pain at a fraction of the cost — and it is reversible, which a rewrite is not.

Security and compliance #

We handle the technical control side: access management, encryption in transit and at rest, logging and audit trails, backup and disaster recovery, vulnerability scanning, and the evidence your auditor will ask for. For ISO 27001, SOC 2 and DPDP work we operate alongside your compliance advisor rather than replacing them — that division of labour is cheaper and produces better evidence than either party attempting both.

Managed IT support #

Once it is live, someone has to hold it. Monitoring, alerting, patching and cost review on a monthly retainer, including support for distributed and remote teams. Either as your entire platform function or alongside engineers you already have.

How we price it #

Short fixed-scope assessments are the most predictable way to buy consulting. A one-week production readiness review or a two-week cost optimisation sprint is quoted as a single fixed fee, agreed in writing before work starts. Longer programmes are quoted per phase. Fractional retainers are priced on a fixed number of hours per month.

No hourly meters, and no scope that quietly expands.

Who this is a good fit for #

  • Startups and SMBs that need senior architectural judgement without carrying a senior salary.
  • Teams inheriting infrastructure nobody documented, who need to know what they actually have.
  • Companies facing an audit who need the technical evidence to exist before the auditor arrives.
  • Engineering leaders who want a second senior opinion before committing to a large build.

Who it is not #

If you need desktop support, procurement or a helpdesk, we are the wrong firm and will say so on the first call. We work on cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines and the platforms underneath applications — not end-user IT.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what technical buyers actually ask before a first call.

What does IT consulting include?

IT consulting is an assessment of where your technology is today and a plan for where it needs to be. A typical engagement covers infrastructure and application review, a cloud adoption or modernisation roadmap, security and compliance gap analysis, cost review, and a prioritised delivery plan with owners and timelines.

How is consulting different from managed services?

Consulting produces decisions and a plan; managed services keep the result running. We do both, and it is usually sensible to start with a short assessment so that any ongoing support contract is scoped against real findings rather than assumptions.

How much does IT consulting cost in India?

Short fixed-scope assessments are the most predictable way to buy. A one-week production readiness review or a two-week cost optimisation sprint is quoted as a single fixed fee agreed before work starts. Longer programmes are quoted per phase, and fractional retainers are priced on a fixed number of hours per month.

Do you help with ISO 27001, SOC 2 or DPDP compliance?

We handle the technical control side: access management, encryption, logging and audit trails, backup and disaster recovery, vulnerability scanning, and the evidence your auditor will ask for. We work alongside your compliance advisor rather than replacing them.

Can you modernise legacy systems without a full rewrite?

In most cases, yes. Containerising the existing application, moving the database to a managed service, and putting a proper delivery pipeline around it usually removes the majority of the operational pain at a fraction of the cost of a rewrite. A rewrite should be a deliberate decision, not a default.

Who will actually do the work?

Senior engineers, not a hand-off to juniors. Our engineering is led by a Certified Kubernetes Administrator who also holds the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification and a DevOps credential from IIT Madras, with more than 13 years of hands-on infrastructure experience.

Where are you based and who do you work with?

Duvaryne LLP is a DPIIT-recognised consultancy based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We work with startups and mid-market companies across India, and remotely with international engineering teams.
